Achievements And Activities

AKMG – Association of Kerala Medical Graduates – is a Professional, Social and Cultural organization of medical and dental graduates of Kerala origin residing in the USA and Canada.
The Learning Resource Centre, established by the AKMG under the leadership of Dr.K.C.Joseph in Govt. TD.Medical College, Alappuzha is a token of love, respect and admiration of the Alumni to their alma mater. Dr. K. C. Joseph’s hard work has triumphed when Alappuzha LRC was inaugurated on March 10th, 2007. Dr. K. C. Joseph deposited 65 checks worth $35,801.00 on July 16, 2006 raised him by for this purpose It is a manifestation of their efforts to make timely information available to the doctors, Post Graduates and undergraduates on the latest medical and surgical techniques and technologies.
LRC functions as a dedicated facility attached to the Medical College Library. 200 Kbps leased line connectivity facilitates high speed Internet at the centre. The Centre has a Linux Server, CD Jukebox software of ER&DC, along with a cluster of 13 PC workstations and peripherals including Scanner, Printer, Photocopier etc. The Centre is also provided with a host of web-based resources such as Med-Search, Textbooks and access to all leading medical journals and also MD Consult, Science Direct, Proquest, Medline and UpToDate.com.
The centre has a conference room for discussions and meetings equipped with LCD projector and networking support. The facility is fully air-conditioned with uninterrupted electric supply and back-up generator capable of supporting all the functions.

TDMCAA PG CME CELL

To train the Undergraduates ,House Surgeons and others who are actively preparing towards Post Graduate Entrance examination we have organized TDMCAA PG CME CELL under TDMC ALUMNI ASSOCIATION from the year 2016 onwards.These CME programmes are intended as refresher courses to improve the academic knowledge and interests among the students in all subjects from the basic preclinical and paraclinical subjects to the clinical and super specialty subjects. Classes are handled by expert faculties in the respective subjects and we have regular online and offline examinations to fine tune the students to crack all the national level PG entrance examinations

ORMA 2016- GRAND ALUMNI GET-TOGETHER 2016

TDMC alumni association organized a grand Alumni get together “ORMA 2016” on September 11th 2016 .Dr.A Ramla Beevi(Director of Medical Meducation & Former Principal of TDMC) inaugurated the function. Around 150 members from various batches attended the function .The Official function, General Body meeting and selection of New Office bearers was followed by lunch and cultural programme by Alumni members and the College Musical band- “Perfusion”. Two of our pioneer Alumni members -Dr.Murali Thyloth and Dr.Mohan Kumar and various toppers in University and PG Entrance examinations were honoured in the function.

CENTRAL RESEARCH LAB INSTALLATION

In association with the college authorities and PTA ,TDMCAA initiated the setting of Central research lab in the college campus to facilitate the research activities of Faculty members and post graduate students

GRAND FAREWELL FUNCTION

TDMC alumni association organized a grand FAREWELL FUNCTION for our eminent retiring faculty members along with Students PG’s and house surgeons on 27th April 2017 in the Golden Jubilee Auditorium TDMC. Former Dermatology HOD Dr. P P Paily sir inaugurated the function. The retiring faculties were
